This
490 acre wilderness paradise is located just west of Durango
in one of Colorado's finest sportsman territiories. As
the property borders thousands of acres of National Forest
on both the north and east property lines, the area is
rich with wildlife including trophy elk, deer and bear.
Situated between 8000 and 8200 feet in elevation, the
property gives way to unparalleled views of the Rampart
Hills to the northeast and the famed ancestral Mesa Verde
and Sleeping Ute to the southwest.
Situated
just west of the San Juan Mountains, the property allows
for expansive views of the La Plata snow capped peaks.
The lay of the land is remarkable with its gentle topography
covering it with grassy meadows, ponderosa pine, gambel
oak and aspen. Steeper terrain can be found on the property
closer to the boundary lines of the National Forest. An
alpine, seasonal stream stretches through the heart of
the land and adds beauty and serenity. Nestled between
the snow capped peaks of the San Juan Mountains and the
unique rock canyons of Colorado's southwest country, hunter
and sportsman alike will find this 490 acres to be their
wilderness paradise. The La Plata county airport, located
only 45 minutes away, is serviced by four airlines and
provides adequate transportation for those coming from
afar.
